This shot is not easy, I know having tried it many times, trying to get the balance between the shy and reflection on the water is hard, sometimes its overdone and you lose the distinction between each but here its been retained.

The softness of the water shows some of the clouds reflection but not too much, otherwise the image would be too off balance, the central horizon that so many would say is wrong is right, it helps with the balance and gives a true sense of peace to the image.

The colouration is as near perfect as you can get it, so many would talk about the small areas of blow out in the sky but that is how the sky looks and it should be retained, you cannot have sunset/sunrise without light.

Its a gentle peaceful image, it gives me a sense of well being and for that its a great image.
