I agree what the two previous critiques has mentioned about this picture, it's such an amazing picture you have achieved by using so many ND filters, 3 in total. The picture shows a lot of movement in the sky with the 5 minutes of exposure the photographer has used, also the water got milky white during the long exposure, it gives this pictures something romantic and a bit mysterious touch. The skyline of the town is very recognizable but doesn't show any detail from how it actually looks like, I love that effect of the silhouette in the picture. As I saw you pictures in the pas, I see you have been doing very well and i'm sure you can grow even more in this. Keep up the good work and i'll be watching you.
This shot moved me, so I decided to write a critique instead of just a comment. I don't know what it is about this photo, but it's really amazing.
The depth of field is well chosen, as everything is in crisp focus, which is desirable for a landscape photo like this. The photo is well balanced with the strong lines in the sky leading into the left side of the photo into the light, and the pier in the front leading the eye into the softly lit water.
The shutter speed also complements this photo very well, giving it movement in the sky through the clouds, but utter stillness in the water and adding the soft blurry effect to the water and the reflections in it.
The detail that can be seen in the wood texture on the pier is gorgeous and adds an extra dimension to the photo.
This shot is beautifully crafted and the light conditions make this shot a stunning work of art that makes people want to look at it over and over again. Congrats on a lovely photo!
